Walt Disney World Golf Is Offering A Series of Four Weekly Junior Golf Camps in March
Have your junior golfer come join us for fun and magical golf instruction at Walt Disney World Golf! We're offering a series of four weekly Junior Golf Camps in March. The clinics are for golfers, ages 7 to 17, and focus on skills development and on-course instruction led by our PGA of America Professionals. Each series of four clinics will be hosted at Disney's Palm, Disney's Magnolia, and Disney's Oak Trail Golf Courses on Wednesdays or Saturdays on the following dates: - **Wednesdays:** March 10, 2021 -- March 31, 2021 | 4:00 -- 5:30 pm | On-Course Coaching and Play | $250 ($225 for DVC, Military and Cast Members) - **Saturdays:** March 6, 2021 -- March 27, 2021 | 1:00 -- 2:00 pm | Skills Development | $150 ($125 for DVC, Military and Cast Members) Space is limited, so register your junior golfer today! Walt Disney World Golf's Hole In One Club
Have you had a hole in one at Walt Disney World Golf? Walt Disney World Golf created our Hole in One Club to recognize and celebrate our Guest's Magical Moments here at The Happiest Place on TURF! A hole in one is a very rare and special occasion for a golfer. For amateur golfers, "the odds of ever getting an ace on a par-3 hole are estimated to be around 12,500 to 1." When it happens, it is a moment of joy to be treasured and shared. The organization developed a dedicated webpage featuring an honor roll of guest aces for each of their four golf courses. In addition to the online honor roll, complimentary Hole in One certificates are now available to celebrate achievements with a special remembrance. They are available with either Mickey or Minnie as your choice, and are available for any of our par-3 golf holes. Interested golfers should submit hole in one information to Alex Forsyth, Director of Sales and Marketing, including: full name, date of achievement, club utilized, golf course played, and hole number. Walt Disney World Golf Announces Our 2020 Fall Junior Golf League!
Walt Disney World Golf is pleased to announce the 2020 season for our Junior Golf League! This is our second year hosting the League! The League will be open to junior golfers, ages 7 to 15, and will be run under the supervision of our PGA Professional golf staff. The league will feature a performance-based program, teaching skills, on-course management and friendly competition with fellow junior golfers. Competition will take place in a two-person team, scramble format. Practice sessions will be held on Tuesdays or Thursdays from October 20 through December 10, 2020. They will run from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm in October, and from 4:30 pm to darkness, in November and December. League competition events will be held on Saturdays, November 7, 14, 21 and December 5 and 12. The competition events will run from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. The fee for participation is $300 plus tax, per player, and includes Players Club Membership from October 20 through December 12, 2020, and each participant will get a Disney Junior Golf League hat! Walt Disney World Golf -- Know Before You Go
The game of golf serves as an excellent way to exercise while promoting social distancing, and we are striving to continue providing this opportunity without interruption for the foreseeable future! Golf and FootGolf operations remain available on our regular schedule. As we navigate through these unprecedented times as responsibly as we can, we have implemented a number of safety measures based on guidance from health authorities, such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and appropriate government agencies. We are all committed to responsibly operating Walt Disney World Golf. Our focus remains on the health and safety of our facilities and those that frequent our premises -- including the well-being of the Cast Members who care for our Guests. We're continuously evaluating new and enhanced safety measures to help us all stay well. We understand that these unprecedented times are challenging, and we appreciate everyone's patience and understanding as we navigate as responsibly as we can! We have taken enhanced health and safety measures. Please follow all posted instructions while visiting Walt Disney World. - **COVID-19 Warning:** An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable. By visiting Walt Disney World Golf, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19. Please assume the responsibility of keeping yourself and each other healthy! For Guests arriving at our facilities, key things to know: All Guests and Cast Members beginning on 6/20/20 will be required to wear face coverings in public areas (Orange County Executive Order mandate). Once out on the golf course or driving range, guests will no longer be required to wear face coverings while exercising. Bunker rakes and ball washers have been removed from the course. A "preferred lie" ruling is in effect for sand bunkers. Leave flag sticks in the hole when putting as the bottom of the cup has been raised. Florida state policy allows groups of 50 or less with social distancing. Family and friends will be paired in the same golf car. Unacquainted players given option to pair up or ride alone. All golf cars cleaned and sanitized before and after rounds. Golf Cart Coolers sanitized and removed from carts; available by request at Food & Beverage outlets. Sand bottles removed from golf carts. Divots repaired by maintenance team. Golf tees, scorecards, and pencils removed from carts but available by request at check-in. On-course water fountains and ice machines turned off. Temperature screening checkpoint at Shades of Green Resort for Palm, Magnolia, and Oak Trail courses. - **Cleanliness and Sanitization:** Increased cleaning and disinfection in high-traffic areas. Supplemental hand sanitizing locations provided. - **Limited Contact:** Pre-pay online to avoid the golf shop upon arrival. Cashless/contactless payment required (credit cards, debit cards, Disney Gift Cards, mobile wallets such as Apple Pay). - **Physical Distancing:** Informational signage and ground markings installed. Maintain 6 feet distance. 50% reduced capacity at Food & Beverage outlets. Driving range at 50% capacity with every other bay available. - **Cast Training:** Enhanced health and safety training for staff.
