In 2022, the PGA of America introduced PGA Family Golf, which built upon the great success of the PGA Junior League program -- a program in which Arnold Palmer Golf Management has proudly participated in annually at Walt Disney World Golf. They also hosted the PGA Junior League National Championship in 2015.
Last year, the PGA of America hosted the inaugural PGA Family Golf Championship at PGA West in La Quinta, California with almost 150 participants from 24 states. This year, the 2024 PGA Family Golf Championship will be hosted at Disney's Palm Golf Course, September 28th & 29th.
The Championship brings together teams of 2 to 4 players, who are all biologically or legally related, to compete in two days of weekend fun. PGA Family Golf brings family members of all ages and skill levels together on multi-generational teams, hosted exclusively by PGA of America Golf Professionals and LPGA Professionals.
Quote from Alex Forsyth, PGA, Director of Sales and Marketing: "The family nature of this tournament makes it the perfect event to be held at the Walt Disney World golf courses. We are passionate about bringing family fun to the game of golf. We have a long history of hosting a plethora of different events, from youth tournaments to PGA Tour events, so the PGA Family Golf Championships will further add to that tradition of extraordinary family-friendly golf events at the Walt Disney World Resort."
