When examining professional golf's legacy at Walt Disney World, most think immediately of the PGA Tour's Walt Disney World Golf Classic, hosted from 1971--2012. However, the resort has hosted numerous other professional events over the decades.

From 1975 to 1979, Disney's Magnolia Golf Course hosted the PGA Seniors' Championships. This tournament, now called the Senior PGA Championship, welcomes professional golfers aged 50 and older--mirroring eligibility standards for PGA Tour Champions events, formerly known as the Senior PGA Tour.

"The history of professional golf here at Walt Disney World Golf is a rich and diverse one that we are deeply proud of."

Additional professional events hosted include LPGA Tour competitions, PGA Tour Champions Qualifying Schools, and U.S. Open regional qualifying tournaments.
